Everyone knows GoDaddy, it’s the largest domain name registrar in the world. The company is mostly known from pulling shitloads of dollars into the booby Super Bowl marketing campaigns filled full with sexually suggestive material, which get always rejected a number of times before being accepted to air in the television. Anyways, soon it is going to be the renewal season for me, also it’s the final time to purchase a bunch of new domain names, so I was stumbling around in order to find the best offers. The inherent curiosity took me to GoDaddy, and guess what…
How much time may it take to find complete information about pricing on their own website? Five minutes, maybe ten? Well, I’m sorry but this time I simply have no idea – and I can only tell you that after 15 minutes of hard-digging through the all of their marketing brainwash I came up with nothing, so I tried Google Search. And check out what I found under “godaddy renewal prices” – a series of comprehensive articles clearly showing the way GoDaddy deals with people. Go on, find out how the world’s most popular domain registrar does it’s business. It is really interesting and worth reading, just go on and read.
After visiting Wincent’s website I’m sooooo glad that GoDaddy has nothing to do with my domain names. Be anxious – in one of future postings I may publish a list of trustworthy companies where you don’t need to worry about all these hidden catches and never-tells (which I’m trying to complete right now). Also, I think I will try to bring it to you together with a shiny collection of promotional codes

No need to guess – in case of domain market there are reliable stats available. It clearly confirms your opinion – boobies with their 25% market share totally pull out all other companies.
Majority of customers do not seem to register more than few domain names at one go. I think I would explain the cause of GoDaddy’s success with a picture of Goddady Girl and that “the less you spend the less you care” motive put together.

Looked at the next, eNom and Networksolutions, they don’t seem to have a pricelist easily available either (eNom does have a corporate pricing at the bottom it seems). So, the guess that it’s the girl that sells the domains would be a safe bet in my opinion. Maybe “the less you spend, the less you care” is true, but in most cases you can expect another equation to work just as well “the less you spend, the more you pay”.

- Sophia Bush

But none of them is very well known, so you can surely forget about them appearing on a commercial or billboard. Of Danica, Amanda and Candice i’d stick with Danica anyway, she’s the most natural.

Domain names are about £2.79 a year from 123-reg, but I think their is tax added to it.
I think you might be able to get dot coms down to about £2.69 with a little work from GD.

£2.79 seems to be a very good price, even if you are forced to pay for 2 years at one go. British market must be a highly developed one — just to give you an idea on what do we get in Poland: it’s really find a company offering renewals of .pl for less than £18 per year. Compare the amounts of all registered domains in our countries – in the UK you have already hit 7 millions of registered domain names (I guess, I don’t know where to get more accurate data), for Poland it’s something like 800,000 registrations.
The “worked” price of .com from GoDaddy does not include the ridiculous fee they add when you want to hide the whois, does it?
