Yesterday Marc was making fun of site design made by George and what do I see in my feed reader today? Shoemoney, the most popular internet money maker has done a new design. Some bugs are marked by arrows in the screenshot above this post, there are also other ones but not worth mentioning better so check them on your own (WTF ads within the sidebar & footer). Buddies from a high school do make better site designs, srsly.
You can make 5 figures monthly online (or more?) and be not afraid of blowing a crap like this. Awesome.

Yuck. That is so unprofessional. Clipping errors and mistakes galore.
Or maybe they ‘optimized it’ for IE.

That’s also my problem. I can create interesting text content (or so I believe), but I can’t create nice looking site design.

Marc:
Jeremy has paid only 79 dollars for it such a frackin piker, so he got a crapKrzysztof Lis: Maybe it’s the high time for you to do a search for some GIMP & CSS tutorials? I guess you might be very surprised how some great stuff is easy to make it so!

Looks a lot better now. I guess Nate fixed the bugs.

Still haven’t noticed any fixes on my Firefox 2.0.0.5 (Ubuntu-edgy)

Florchakh: it’s not that I don’t know how to implement new design onto graphics and styles, but I can’t create design that will look nice. I never knew how to draw nor paint.

It looks fine on my Firefox 2.0.0.6, so I guess Nate didn’t code for earlier versions of Firefox.
Why don’t you upgrade?

I’ve set scheduled upgrades. But okay this time I did it manually, upgraded FF to 2.0.0.6 and still can see these bugs.
If you are not advanced in xhtml & CSS stuff sometimes you are simply forced to use randomly found hacks. Guess there’s a source of all problems, getting a correct look like in different browsers is one of the most challenging things in the whole web design IMO.

Not the greatest design in the world……but definately not the worst. I agree though - making sites appear correctly cross platform/cross browser can be tricky. Thats why we test test test….
