I have a dilemma - 1,5 year ago I have made a website for my native market. After 6 months of work on that site, it has started to be one of the most popular blogs about consumer electronics, written in Polish. I have it done successfully, so why do I have a dilemma? It’s all about money. After achieving more than 30k unique visits monthly earnings generated by this site just has stopped to grow. For 6 months I write only a few posts monthly in order to wait till there appear any other way to improve earnings. 1,5 year goes by, and finally nothing changes - all year around I’m waiting for some new ways to monetize Polish site, and still there’s only Google AdSense. No affiliate marketing. No sponsored posts. No text link ads. No other way to monetize site placed in pretty hot niche, only cost per click that falls down again and again. Nothing else, only falling costs per click. At the same time the biggest players in Polish internet market has started to broadcast much more invasive advertising - ads imported straight from television. Unbelievable, I have not ever seen any western portal that uses 50% of layout area just for invasive advertising. But it looks like no respect for users is a common phenomenon for my native market.

There is a question - to keep writing new posts and wait till Polish market will let me monetize damn blog about electronic stuff, or to make subject matter a little bit wider. Eventually I can hang it up after setting some invasive advertising, and concentrate on other sites that have an abillity to make good money.
