Wordpress as a CMS? Well, why not.

Today I have spent most of my time on adjusting CMS in order to prove the fact that Open Source software rocks the Web. So which Content Managing System I’ve picked up, I’ve chosen blog software naturally. It not easy to make an “ambitious” service with some advanced functionality on default version of Wordpress, after installation it definitely doesn’t look like a complex application, just like another geeky blog platform…

But hey, there is a BIG community of Wordpress users, a lot of plugins, tutorials, tips and other tricks and hacks, so playing with this software is not a problem.

Anyhow, all functionality I had mapped up is done. To be honest - there’s only a few todos left, including fixing user registration. I have no idea how to have it done, using OpenID as a default signing-up system is not a good option. As well as making another place for people to register…

By the way - why do you still use Drupal, folks? ;)
