Twitter? No, I’m not a twitt, and surely I won’t twitter

twitter.pngTwitter achieved success, and I am blown away. I don’t understand the way how all that crowd got interested in a social service like this. Also, look like of that service is far away from being pretty, so - why it haven’t failed? It must be related to interest of batch of well-know people - they discovered that Twitter may be a great tool of their Public Relations, when popular people come to the service, crowd comes as well - isn’t it?

And you know what? Twitter reminds me that years ago there was a time when I was having a “twittering” contact in my IM. It was a young chick with a special habit - whatever she was doing, you were able to find out what. And guess what - her status messages were sooooo similar to ones that you can see on most of Twitter profiles. You know what I mean - when she was being in bath, she was having it set on IM, she was walking around, and you could get to know where just by looking at her IM status, she was eating something, shopping somewhere, watching TV, cleaning herself, flushing the toilet, or whatever - always there was a convenient status message set on her internet messenger.

I’m sure she was completely sold on that practice, like every user of Twitter do now. They say: “hey, now all of my friends know what am I doing now, that’s cool!“. No, it isn’t that cool, I think. It’s poor and distressing, in fact, just take a look at the public timeline and check what people write on their profiles. Twitter is just one another way they waste their time in order to show off. What a great niche for one another web business…
