Steven asked me to post an update on experiment with getting the traffic from Yahoo Answers. Ok, I have tried it on, dope. Already I have written few answers in Search Engine Optimization category, I have received a few Best Answers. and finally I have made a few observations.
Seriously, it looks like if you want to get traffic from Yahoo Answers, you have to take on your target some popular category. Secondly, if you want to promote your blog, or other site with Yahoo Answers, it must have a long tail. Why? It’s simple, if you have huge number of posts, you have better chance to be able to put a link to your site as an answer. Otherwise you only waste your time. Users of Yahoo Answers are lazy, they will not click a link below your answer, you know.
Hey, Florchakh, look what you got!
Congratulations, you’ve got a best answer and 10 extra points!
Your answer to the following question really hit the spot and has been chosen as the best answer:
How to search more efficient on google?
Go ahead, do your victory dance. Celebrate a little. Brag a little. Then come back and answer a few more questions!
Thanks for sharing what you know and making someone’s day.

Oh, that’s really great, I’m flattered. But it looks like I receive 1 visit per 1 answer, on average. Also, a bunch of worthless links with rel=”follow”. Yep, that sucks, so I’m not going to waste my time on sharing my knowledge on Yahoo Answers anymore. I wish it would work a little bit more favourably for guys like me. So maybe it’s time to change a niche of that blog? What do you think about Paris Hilton, or other popular issue?? ![]()
